Professional services client

From a one-sentence brief to a multi-platform booking system

The client asked for an online booking system. What they actually needed was a multi-tenant SaaS platform, an admin dashboard, a mobile app — and a brand identity they did not yet have.

What came of it

  • Booking administration that had been manual is now automated
  • Brand identity created from scratch alongside the platform
  • Mobile app added later without rebuilding the back end

How it went

Brief

One sentence, and nothing else

The client came with: “We need an online booking system.” That was the entire brief. No wireframes, no specification, no technical requirements.

Discovery

Bookings were the smallest part of it

Working through how the business actually ran surfaced the rest: availability across multiple locations, automated reminders, a customer portal, calendar integration and finance reporting. They also had no brand identity at all — no logo, no palette, nothing to build an interface around.

Architecture

Multi-tenant and API-first, so the mobile app could come later

A multi-tenant SaaS platform with an API-first structure: a customer-facing portal, a separate admin dashboard, and Stripe billing. Designed from the start so a mobile app could be added without rebuilding the back end — which is exactly what happened.

Brand & Messaging

A complete identity, built from nothing

Logo, colour palette, typography, tone of voice, email templates and social assets — created from scratch, because there was nothing to work from.

Build

Web app, dashboard, portal and mobile

A full-stack web application with an admin dashboard, a customer portal, automated notifications, Stripe payments, and a mobile app on top.

Result

Manual booking admin removed from the working day

The platform launched and took over the booking work that had been done by hand.
